A Little About Me...
I grew up on the sandy shores of New Jersey. I've always had an active imagination as a child and like any little girl, I've always wanted a pony, or a horse or a dog or some other furry creature. in place of receiving a real pony I would draw them and draw them and draw them again and yet again. Somehow, studying animals so closely, it was like I actually could have that creature for a little while.
Fast forward many, many years and many, many paintings later, I think I still have that active imagination. While I don't necessarily need a pony ( although I might still like one ). I'm fueled by my fascination with nature and its sometimes hidden beauties. I study and paint it to such degree where my subjects become mine. Although it's only for a little while. I'll admit that it is a little sad when I'm finished with a painting as then its time to part with it. What's great is that once I'm finished with a painting I can hand it over to you. That joy of having something beautiful to possess and behold is a gift in this world. Beauty is important. I strive to find things in nature that may or may not seem gorgeous at first glance but can be made that way through paint. I love that beauty in art brings joy to others. It keeps me going.
